Finnish defence and technology company Patria successfully demonstrated the remote operation of a Patria AMV vehicle located in Finland from an operator station in Tokyo, Japan. The demonstration covered a distance of more than 7,800 kilometres and combined drive-by-wire technology, secure 5G connectivity, and real-time situational awareness.

During the demonstration, the vehicle operated at the Parola testing area in Finland while being controlled remotely from Tokyo.
